Good afternoon, Ringwood,
I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Over the past couple of weeks we have been to a variety of incidents as well as progressing our investigations. We have deployed to:
A report that a person was being held against their will in an address. Thankfully on arrival it was established that this was not the case.
Attended several concern for welfare calls of people in mental health crisis.
Tracked a male who has been breaking into motor vehicles in Burley to the New Milton area (the net is closing in on him).
Consulted with our crime scene investigators about unique footwear markings that we may be able to attribute to an individual from a burglary.
Issued an out of court disposal for a male who thought he could get away with not paying for a taxi by running into his own house!? Assisted a cyclist who was deliberately struck by a motor vehicle. We will be catching up with the driver soon.
Carried out marked patrolling of Christchurch Road due to several complaints made by residents that drivers are far exceeding the speed limits entering Ringwood. There will be deployments of mobile laser devices in the coming days. This will also be replicated on Salisbury Road soon.
Patrolled Winston way due to reports of teenagers causing ASB .
Attended a non-dwelling burglary in a garden centre and seized forensic evidence. We are also investigating several incidents of children starting small fires in areas such as the Furlong toilets. We will be identifying and knocking on their doors in due course.
If you have any questions, or just want to say hello, please come and speak to us on our patrols. Our officers will also be at the Carnival tomorrow.
